In January, Raphael Bernier was awarded the 2013 Association for Psychological Science's "Rising Star" award. This award is for individuals in the early stages of their career who are already making significant contributions to psychological science.
Shannon Dorsey
Shannon Dorsey, Ph.D.
In January, Shannon Dorsey became the recipient of the 2013 Western Psychological Association's Enrico E. Jones Award for Research in Psychotherapy and Clinical Psychology.

This is an early career award based on nominations submitted by clinical psychology training directors from all of the WPA regional states, including our most illustrious West Coast peer universities.
Tony Greenwald
Tony Greenwald, Ph.D.
In February, Tony Greenwald and Mahzarin R. Banaji co-authored the new book, "Blindspot: Hidden Biases of Good People" based on their Implicit Association Test.

In March, Tony Greenwald was chosen to receive the William James Lifetime Achievement Award in honor of the 25th Anniversary of APS.
This is the APS's highest honor, recognizing a lifetime of significant intellectual contributions to the basic science of psychology.

Peter Kahn has been appointed the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Ecopsychology. He will assume the role in the spring of 2013.

On April 3, Cheryl Kaiser was interviewed about her study regarding diversity training programs in work environments in the UW Today. The article was picked by e!Science News, Science Daily, and IT World.
